The Trenton LCBO's day of action took place yesterday. Local 497 employees handed out hotdogs and beverages to customers in the establishments parking lot. Regional union spokesperson Dianne Perry says they want their customers to be well-informed.

The flood state of emergency is over in Prince Edward County. Put in place May 9 because of localized flooding and high water levels, Mayor Quaiff says water levels have dropped over the past several weeks, reducing the risk to both people and property.

COMMUNITY CHOOSES EXISTING SITE FOR PEC HOSPITAL

The community is overwhelmingly in favour of keeping the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital where it is in Picton. Feedback from a month-long survey shows the public would like to see the new PECMH built on the existing site rather than by the H.J. McFarland Memorial Home.
