It was a busy long weekend for the Belleville Police Service.

They received over 100 calls by yesterday morning.

Calls included a shoplifting report at a north end business, where a 31-year-old Belleville woman was charged with theft and obstructing police and received a tresspassing notice from the business.

There was also a disturbance at a bar where a 21-year-old man had a physical altercation with a bouncer and was charged with public intoxication and was released to a family member for the night.

There were also three more incidents, including one on Saturday where police were called to an apartment for a disturbance. Police say an officer had minor injuries, resulting in a 25-year-old woman being charged with assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest.

Just before 4 a.m. on Saturday, a call was received that a man had pointed a handgun at a 16-year-old. The 40-year-old Belleville man was later found in Foxboro. The investigation is ongoing.

There was also a car accident on Grier Street Saturday evening which resulted in a 59-year-old man being charged with impaired driving.
