NORTHUMBERLAND HOME SALES DECREASE FROM 2017

Home sales in Northumberland Hills in February dropped compared to last year.

The Northumberland Hills Association of Realtors have released the numbers from last month, and only 42 houses were sold - a 45.5 per cent decrease from February of 2017.

That's not the only thing that has dropped either.

The number of new listings is down 35.2 per cent from February of last year and the total value of home sales dropped 37,7 per cent to $18.8 million.

The average price of homes sold last month was $446,636, an increase of 14.2 per cent over February 2017.

Also on the rise is the number of active residential listings which was 140 last month and an increase of 16.7 per cent.
