BUSY START TO THE WEEK FOR BELLEVILLE POLICE
5/16/2018 8:02:25 AM

It has been a busy few days for the Belleville Police. Between Monday and Tuesday, they responded to 50 calls for service. On Monday just after 11:30 p.m., police and the fire department responded to reports of a small grass fire on Sidney street. One person was detained but released. Anyone with information regarding the fire is asked to contact the police or crime stoppers. The following morning police also responded to Wallbridge-Loyalist Road at the CP tracks for reports that a vehicle had struck a deer. Both the deer and the driver weren't hurt. The driver, however, did end up having to get his vehicle towed. Soon after the same morning police were at Benjamin Street for reports that a rock had been thrown through a bedroom window. No one was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
