Brighton has received $125,000 from the Ontario government, to support the construction of the new Brighton skateboard park.
Mayor Brian Ostrander tells Oldies 100.9 the Trillium grant will help expand the skate park, a project that includes adding new ramps and making additional improvements for local youth.
Local MPP David Piccini says the province’s investment in the project is good for Brighton.
Members of the Volunteer Skateboard Committee say a lot of hard work went into fundraising, to expand and refurbish the skateboard park.
