During the first intermission of the SENATORS – COMETS game American Hockey League Hall of Fame member Brad Smyth will take part in a History of the American Hockey League meet and greet event.
Smyth played for the Ottawa Senators but his on-ice his prowess was demonstrated in the AHL. In 2000 while playing for Hartford, Smyth won a Calder Cup. In 1995-96 he was named League MVP after scoring 68 goals with Carolina. No player since has surpassed his 126 point season that year.
Smyth was also part of the 2019 AHL Hall of Fame class. His 667 points rank Smyth at number 30 on the AHL charts.
