During the month of May, the Canadian Military Wives Choir, Trenton, has launched a 500 Mile Campaign to raise funds for the current critical need for PPE and other medical needs at Trenton Memorial Hospital during the COVID-19 crisis.
“We have been so inspired watching the community come together and work so hard to support one another, that we wanted to be able to contribute in a positive way, while observing physical distancing rules. The TMH Foundation does such great work in our community, and for our hard-working healthcare workers, that we thought they were a great choice to support with this project aimed at positivity, community engagement and physical fitness!” commented Melanie Zukowski of the choir.
The Canadian Military Wives Choirs Trenton has watched the overwhelming efforts of so many over the past several weeks and were inspired to make their own positive contribution. They are partnering with The Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation to ensure front-line healthcare workers and hospital staff who work so hard have what they need to be protected and care for the community they love. Between May 1st and May 31st, they will be walking 500 miles in support of Trenton Memorial Hospital. Follow CMWC Trenton and the TMH Foundation to see how you can donate, join the way and support our local hospital. Help to give back to those who give so much.
“This is a wonderful chance to get outside and keep active while we are social distancing while helping to raise funds for Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and support the current need for PPE for hospital staff,” noted Laura-Lee Bradie, Manager of Events and Stewardship. The Foundation and Women’s Choir also want to reiterate that members will be walking or running alone, or with their family group.
