Two people have been charged in connection with a foiled attempt to deliver contraband to Collins Bay Institution in Kingston.
The accused were observed on Corrections Services of Canada property adjacent to the institution. Members of the Ontario Provincial Police led Joint Forces Penitentiary Squad, Kingston Police and Corrections officials apprehended the individuals for questioning. two people.
Days later, prison officers say they located a large package in the area where the arrests had taken place. It contained a quantity of tobacco, cannabis, suspected cocaine and fentanyl.
The accused has been identified as 40 year old Timothy Coady of no fixed address and 18 year old Kris Gibson of Kingston. Both have been charged with trespassing on penitentiary property.
They’ve been ordered to appear in court in October.
