The team and residents of Quinte Gardens Retirement Residence in Belleville were overjoyed to celebrate the 65th wedding anniversary of residents Ted and Connie Buckley. The children of the Buckleys were thoughtful to deliver a cake so residents of the local retirement residence could celebrate alongside their parents and mark this milestone.
Sixty-five years ago, Ted and Connie married after meeting through Connie’s then-roommate Cecilia, who was also Ted’s cousin. Ted always said the secret to their long marriage is making sure Connie had “a good set of wheels” and not living too far from the mall. And, for her part, Connie says jokingly, “Ted always had too much to say,” when they first met.
Over the years, the Buckleys have been blessed with a large family of four children, ten grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren, and are the ‘B’ in A&B Precast Manufacturing Limited, a longtime Belleville fixture. Residents thoroughly enjoyed the festivities. The dedicated team at Quinte Gardens congratulates the entire Buckley family on this remarkable anniversary.
