Docs By The Bay Physician Recruitment and Retention Program and the Municipality of Brighton are very pleased to announce they have signed Dr. Angela Lambrakos to a Medical Services Agreement.
Dr. Lambrakos graduated from the University of Waterloo with a Hons.BSc. in Health Studies and received her medical degree from St. George’s University of London. She is currently completing her family medicine residency at McMaster University in Hamilton and is expected to open her family medicine practice at the Lakeview Family Health Team in the fall of 2020. She will be building her practice from patients registered with Health Care Connect. “I’m looking forward to exploring Brighton and the natural beauty it has to offer. I love the outdoors and any time I can go for a walk or hike/explore new areas I’ll take the opportunity,” said Dr. Lambrakos. “Being a physician in a smaller community has both its perks and challenges which I am eager to tackle. I am looking forward to this next chapter with great excitement.”
Lambrakos was officially welcomed to Brighton this week. Mayor Brian Ostrander says he’s proud of the work done by the Docs By The Bay and the Municipality in recruiting Dr. Lambrakos, “It is a sincere pleasure to be able to welcome Dr. Lambrakos to Brighton. Our community has worked hard to attract and retain primary health care providers and to see this work paying dividends is gratifying. On behalf of Council and the community I wish her many years of successful practice here in Brighton with our sincere thanks to Paula and the Docs By The Bay recruitment team.
