The Government of Ontario is helping farmers bring high-quality products to market, 22 projects in Northumberland-Peterborough South at a total investment of over $273,000.
MPP David Piccini stopped by Algoma Orchards in Newcastle last month – The business is set to receive almost $58,000 through the Canadian Agricultural Partnership (CAP) to purchase and install a new energy efficient boiler for their juice plant. Piccini tells us more.
Piccini adds that by investing in this sector they are helping local processors like Algoma Orchards become more competitive.
Through the partnership, these initiatives will support improvements in areas such as enhanced traceability systems, upgraded animal-handling equipment, and strengthened biosecurity measures.
