Trenton is marking the official completion of phase one of the King Street corridor redevelopment – with the working coming in on budget.
A boulevard that supports walking and cycling is now located on the north side of the road – there’s new sidewalk on the south side. King Street has also been narrowed to calm-traffic on the increasingly busy roadway.
Funded by the Investing in Canada Infrastructure Program, phase two of the project will begin this spring with the continuing work on King Street from Catherine Street to Fourth Avenue.
