Oldies 100.9 news presents the Vanderlaan Building Excellent Educators Day, profiling outstanding leaders in our community.
Carrie Post is an educational assistant at Quinte Christian High School in Belleville – Throughout her educational career, she has worked at schools across the Quinte region, including a variety of age groups and classes.
She says it’s rewarding to see students and alumni succeed and achieve success in their learning journey, after working with them for many years. Post adds that she also enjoys learning from her students and helping to support their mental health, especially with virtual learning and technology, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Post says she is proud of having earned her liberal arts degree in Michigan, adding that she has now enjoyed working at QCHS for more than 10 years.
She says some of her favourite memories from her time at QCHS, include coaching volleyball and helping organize a fundraiser for the Christmas Sharing Program, which helps to make the holidays special for local families.
