
8 Wing CFB Trenton held a private parade, to recognize a new commanding officer at the 2 Air Movements Squadron.
Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel Tony Johnson assumes the position from LCol Brandon Sing. LCol Johnson was the Mobile Air Movements Officer at 2 Air Mov Sqn in 2010 and the Deputy Commanding Officer in 2011.
As an Air Logistics Officer, LCol Johnson has worked across Canada with 17 Wing, 8 Wing and the Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre, he also was deployed for 14 months, as part of Canada’s contribution to the International Security Assistance Force in Afghanistan and was assigned to United States Southern Command J4 Directorate, where he was deployed to Colombia and Guantanamo Bay in support of U.S. commitments.
