The province has announced some additional money for Northumberland Hills Hospital,
MPP of Northumberland -Peterborough South, David Piccini, announced yesterday that as part of the 2021 budget, the hospital will receive $1,497,300.
The funding comes at a crucial time as Northumberland Hills Hospital’s CEO Linda Davis spoke to the hospital having to open more beds during the pandemic.
This comes as the Ontario government’s action plan includes $760 million dollars to help hospitals respond to Covid-19 and a $300 million dollars to reduce surgical backlogs.
