If you have travelled through Cramahe Township lately you will see that it is a municipality that is growing and they have recently appointed Victoria Heffernan as their new Planner.
“We welcome Victoria’s professional expertise and leadership to Cramahe Township,” said Mayor Mandy Martin in the municipality’s official release. “Victoria has a well-respected depth of planning and environmental sciences knowledge.”
Heffernan says she’s excited about the challenge.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Science, Honours from the University of Guelph in Biological Sciences, Victoria went on to complete a Graduate Diploma from Algonquin College in
Ottawa in Environmental Management and Assessment, Dean’s List.
Victoria has worked both internationally and locally completing assessments and monitoring changes in biodiversity and forest growth.
In the last few years, she has transitioned to policy and planning for the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry and multiple Conservation Authorities. Most recently, Victoria was an Assistant Planner with Lower Trent Conservation.
A municipal Manager of Planning perform professional planning functions for the development, re-development and growth of townships. There are several new projects happening within Cramahe Township and Heffernan will be working with them.
