A traffic stop in Madoc has led to a pair of arrests.
On March 14th, OPP were conducting a patrol on Highway 7 when they attempted to engage a motorist in a traffic stop.
The driver was currently on conditions to not be in the Central Hastings area.
As a result of investigation, police arrested both parties.
The driver, Fana ABAY, 28 years old of Mississauga faces multiple charges including Obstructing a Peace Officer, Disobeying an Order of Court, Possession of Property obtained by Crime, Speeding, Driving while under Suspension and Operating a Motor Vehicle without Insurance.
The passenger, Ryan SWEENEY, 38 years old of Toronto was also charged under the Criminal Code with Identity Theft and Possession of Property obtained by Crime under $5000.
