Cobourg Police Service will host an event to welcome National Peace Officers’ Memorial Run to pay tribute to fallen officers.
There will be a short ceremony at Chris Garrett Memorial Park at about 6:30pm on Thursday, September 22.
The ‘Run to Remember’ is a 460 km relay that starts at the Ontario Police Memorial in Toronto and makes its way to the National Memorial on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
Everyone in the community is invited to come out and cheer on the runners and to honour Canada’s fallen officers.
