
Racing cars and drivers from across Ontario and Quebec will converge on the Brighton Speedway during Applefest weekend for the annual Bryan’s Auction Applefest ShootOut event.
The 18th annual Bryan’s Auction Applefest Shootout is scheduled for the weekend of Friday September 23rd and Saturday September 24th. Applefest Shootout weekend is presented by Coca-Cola, Cool 100 and Imagefactor.ca. Friday night will kick of the fan favourite weekend with DIRTCar Sportsman, Eastern Ontario Vintage Stock Car Club (EOVSCC), Canadian Modified Heats, NLMA Late Model Heats, Thunder Stock open event, ODCC Mini Stock Duel on the Dirt and a DIRT 358 Modified Dash for Cash.
Saturday it will all heat up with the annual Imagefactor.ca Canadian DIRT series 358 Modified 75 Lap Applefest Shootout. Joining the mighty 358 Modifieds will be DIRTCar Sportsman, The NLMA Late Model Great Crate Race, ODCC Thunder Stock Duel on the Dirt, Canadian Modified feature and a Comp 4/Mini Stock Showdown.
“Our biggest event included 302 cars and we are looking to break this record this year,” said Mark Rinaldi – owner at Brighton Speedway. “We have two days planned, with races with our regular 6 divisions but we will also have some high horsepower, open wheel cars that will make for exciting and fun to watch races too.
The gates at the Speedway will open on Friday, September 23rd at 5:00 pm, with races starting at 6:00 pm. On Saturday, September 24th the gates will open at 1:00 pm with qualifiers starting at 3:00 pm and feature races will begin at 6:00 pm. There are also bands booked for after the races, so the celebration will continue into the evening.
Camping sites are also available at the Speedway.
“We have over 200 sites sold but we still have a few left,” added Rinaldi.

“Applefest weekend is a big weekend not only for the Speedway, it’s a great event for the town too and we are excited to organize this event that also brings a lot of people to town from across Ontario and Quebec to Brighton for the weekend,” said Rinaldi.
