A Trenton man and an unnamed youth are facing a slew of drug and firearm charges after Cobourg Police pulled over a vehicle on Friday.
During a routine traffic stop, police say the passenger of the vehicle gave a false name and then fled the scene, but was arrested a short time later.
During the arrest, police say they located a Glock pistol with a full magazine, drugs, and $ 1,780 Canadian currency.
The estimated street value of the seized drugs is more than $5,000.
A 17 year old youth is facing firearm charges, possession of fentanyl, crystal meth, and crack cocaine, and resisting arrest.
42 year old Andrew Kanellos of Trenton is facing several vehicle related charges as well as failing to comply with probation order.
Cobourg Police will hold a press conference on this incident this afternoon at 1pm, and we’ll have more as it develops.
