This month’s Heritage Week Ontario shines a light on Belleville’s Glanmore National Historic Site.
Its the facility’s 50th anniversary as a museum and 140th year since construction of the heritage building.
Special events, exhibitions and programs are planned throughout the year staring with an open house at Glanmore, Saturday, Feb. 25 from 1 to 4:30 p.m. Staff will be on hand to chat about the materials, which could greatly inform the museum’s anniversary exhibition, launching later this spring.
The museum is also encouraging visitors to bring along photographs and newspaper clippings they may have relating to Belleville in the year 1973 or pertaining to Glanmore at any point during its history.
Admission is free with a donation of a non-perishable food item for Gleaners Food Bank.
