Last Thursday, April 27th, students of Colborne Public School Music competed in the Eastern Regional Canadian Drumline Association competition at the Keeler Centre.
Colborne P.S. has a history of success with their Drumline team under the direction of Music Teacher Chad Morford, performing in the Intermediate Class
Chad told us about his students results at the Eastern Regional competition.
Morford told us they’ve got some fresh faces this year.
According to Colborne Public School’s Chad Morford groups are judged on three main criteria.
Chad told us his students are getting ready for their next competitions.
Colborne P.S. students placed first in the Intermediate Class at the Eastern Regional Canadian Drumline Association competition and will next perform at the London Regionals before competing in the Ontario Provincial Championships in Mississauga.
Morford said the school’s drumline depends on financial support from the community as it receives no funding from the school board. That fundraising comes largely from their Festival of Trees Fundraiser each year.
