With the 36th season of Peterborough Musicfest fast approaching, there’s anticipation in the air as organizers prepare to reveal the acts that will perform this summer in Del Crary Park.
On May 24th at 10:30 a.m. at the Silver Bean Café, Musicfest general manager Tracey Randall will again list most of the acts contracted to perform as part of Canada’s longest-running free admission music festival.
Randall notes says the lineup reveal announcement remains a highlight for the many who look forward to summer fun in the park.
Randall says the biggest challenge is arranging a lineup that speaks to all age groups while featuring different genres of music.
With three acts – Natalie MacMaster Donnell Leahy, Dwayne Gretzky and Little River Band – already announced, Randall says one night of the festival will be dedicated exclusively to local acts.
