Due to an ongoing law suit against Gen7 by Original Traders Energy (OTE), the franchisee has indicated he’ll be reopening the station as Smokes Fuel and Convenience.
Regular customers will have noticed the lack of gas at the station but Manager Mike Hoffman assures us, they’ll be up and running again soon.
OTE, which is run by two indigenous brothers, supply fuel to many First Nation gas stations, but due to the law suit against Gen7, they ceased delivery to the Alderville station.
Hoffman told us about the decision to go independent.
Hoffman told us that the new independent station and it’s indigenous owner will be working more with Alderville First Nation.
Smokes Fuel and Convenience plans to be up and running again before the weekend.
