The G-Hawks are still making big preparations for the upcoming fall.
Head Coach and General Manager Derek Smith says they have acquired Adam Matar from the Elliot Lake Red Wings of the Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League.
“This is a great signing for the club,” says Smith. “Adam had a great first season in junior hockey last year. He is a young 17 going into the 23-24 season and we believe not only will he make an impact; he will also be able to learn a ton from our veterans, who have played not only elite and high-pressure hockey. He is going to be a great fit to the Trenton Golden Hawks program.”
Matar comes in as an OHL draft pick of the Flint Firebirds, and his 2021-22 season included an OMHA Championship.
