The Township of Hamilton has opened up nominations for their newly announced Community Recognition Awards.
This aims to recognize groups or individuals that have made an outstanding contribution to the Township.
Five categories are open for the awards: the Mayor’s Award for Excellence, the Outstanding Youth Award, the Volunteer Service Award, and the Innovation Award.
Some of them might sound self-explanatory– but awards like the Innovation award might need extra explanation before nominating someone– The Township says nominees for this award have recognized new and better ways to address a need in the community despite the many demands, and sometimes too few resources.
