100+ Women Who Care Northumberland are lending their support to Period Promise
United Way Northumberland’s Period Promise will receive over $7,700 thanks to 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland.
This grant will aid United Ways ongoing efforts to combat period poverty in the community.
The formal donation presentation took place earlier this week at the September meeting of 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland, hosted at the Mill in Cobourg.
Period Promise is dedicated to ensuring universal access to menstrual products.
Thanks to this grant, they will be able to purchase a substantial quantity of products at a reduced cost, further reinforcing United Way’s mission to provide dignity to individuals and families in need.
“We extend our heartfelt thanks to the 100+ Women Who Care Northumberland for selecting Period Promise Northumberland for this grant,” says Maggie Darling, Acting Executive Director, United Way Northumberland. “Together, we can fight period poverty in our community and create a place where everyone can have the dignity they deserve.”
