Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services have entered a new dispatch service agreement
The City of Quinte West has entered into a Fire Dispatch Services agreement with St. Catharines Fire Service (SCFS) to offer around-the-clock emergency call-taking and dispatch services to Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services effective immediately.
This shift transitions Quinte West from Belleville to St. Catharines, a change that doesn’t impact 9-1-1 phone services.
The agreement prepares Quinte West Fire and Emergency Services for the mandatory transition to the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission’s Next Gen 911 system.
SCFS will provide cutting-edge dispatch technology to enhance service responsiveness and efficiency, taking a significant step towards resident safety and well-being.
