Assault charges have been laid by Northumberland OPP
During a routine patrol, members of the public flagged down Northumberland OPP.
They reported having witnessed an assault and gave a description of the suspect and their vehicle.
Police quickly located the vehicle, leading to the arrest of the accused, who was found in possession of a weapon matching the bystanders’ description.
EMS provided medical attention to the victim, who was then transported to a local hospital.
Clayton Bowlby, a 19-year-old from Colborne, is now facing charges, including assault with a weapon and driving without a license.
His court appearance is scheduled for November 15th.
