With rising COVID-19 cases at Northumberland Hills Hospital, they’ve declared an outbreak on the Medical/Surgical Units (2A/2B) alongside the ongoing outbreak in the Inpatient Rehabilitation and Restorative Care Units (1A/2B).
Currently, there are 18 confirmed inpatient cases, while no staff or physicians have been affected.
Due to this, visitor and volunteer restrictions now extend to the Medical/Surgical units.
Regular visiting and volunteering continue outside these areas unless patients are in isolation for COVID-19.
