Peterborough’s Five Counties Children’s Centre is the grateful benefactor of the largest donations it has received over its close to 50-year history.
Retired doctors James and Sheila Ryan have gifted $227,000 to the centre’s Building Abilities For Life Campaign.
Five Counties CEO Scott Pepin says the money will help reduce wait times as well as provide priority services such as speech and occupational therapies. He adds the couple’s gift couldn’t have come at a better time.
Speaking to the donation’s impact, Pepin says close to 300 children will directly benefit.
