Families and friends embraced the wintry weather to find their perfect Christmas tree at the ninth annual Family Christmas at Spry Family Christmas Tree Farm.
With 144 trees sold, totaling $29,677, all proceeds will support Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation’s Light Up a Life campaign.
“This magical holiday tradition isn’t just about finding the perfect tree; it’s also a heartwarming demonstration of the community coming together to make a difference,” shared Megan Fluxgold, NHH Foundation’s Community Engagement and Events Specialist. “Every dollar spent on these magnificent trees contributes directly to the well-being of our hospital. It was a triple win – the perfect tree, the joy of giving, and the knowledge that our annual Light up a Life campaign is truly supported by our community.”
Hosted by Sharron Wharram-Spry and Brian Spry, the event was a triumph, with returning sponsors and Starbucks Cobourg joining in the festive atmosphere as attendees selected trees, making it more than a tradition – it was a heartwarming community effort.
This year’s success brings the nine-year total to an impressive $172,670.
Proceeds from the event will go towards an Automatic Tablet Packager at NHH’s Pharmacy.
