Quinte West’s Integrity Commissioner says the Mayor breached the Code of Conduct
The Commissioner has recommended Mayor Jim Harrison issue a public apology to a council member and lose two weeks’ pay for an incident after a meeting on February 8th last year.
Integrity Commissioner Tony Fleming’s report revealed code of conduct violations by Harrison.
Though the complainant isn’t named, it was confirmed by Quinte News as Councillor Duncan Armstrong.
Despite Mayor Harrison’s subsequent apologies, Armstrong did not accept.
Council will decide on potential disciplinary actions at it’s next meeting.
