Former Commander of 8 Wing Trenton, Leif Dahl, has his next court date set for January 22.
Colonel Leif Dahl is charged with possession of a weapon and hunting birds without a license following an incident on the Murray Canal on August 25.
Quinte West OPP allege that the colonel fired and disposed of his firearm into the canal.
Following this, Dahl was permanently removed as commander of 8 Wing Trenton with Colonel Leighton James taking his place.
