This Saturday, the community will rally to remember Vienna Rose Irwin, who died tragically at just age two last May.
A family friend has organized a commemorative service on what would have been her third birthday, this Saturday, March 30 at 7:45 p.m. The service will start in front of Cobourg’s Victoria Hall.
The community is invited to attend and help keep Vienna’s memory alive. The event is meant to be a celebration of love and support for her parents, Claire and Clay. Those attending are asked to bring butterfly lights, signs, balloons and their support.
The investigation into her death at a daycare is still ongoing, Northumberland OPP Const. James Clarke said, when asked recently for another update on the investigation.
“We understand the devastation of this tragedy for the family, community members, and the public,” said Clarke. “We value the community’s concern but sharing information at this time may affect the investigation’s integrity.
“We’d like to reassure the community that the investigation is ongoing, and we will share more when appropriate.”
