Residents are being warned about water safety for Lake Ontario and Bay of Quinte shoreline from Grafton to Quinte West.
The statement warns of potential dangers for recreational users due to high flows/winds, melting ice, and unsafe banks.
Strong northwesterly winds are predicted, with waves over 1.5 meters expected, leading to surge-related flooding and erosion.
Residents are urged to secure personal property along the shoreline and stay updated on weather forecasts.
Lower Trent Conservation closely monitors water levels and weather forecasts for its flood forecasting and warning program.
Daily updates are available on their website.
