Northumberland County is holding an open house and public meeting to unveil updated maps and policies concerning long-term growth and land requirements.
This initiative, part of Northumberland Next, aims to guide development over the next 30 years.
With a projected population of 122,000 by 2051, the growth management amendment will allocate resources and propose expansions to accommodate new developments.
The consultation process includes presentations and feedback sessions, allowing residents to participate either in person or online until July 12, 2024.
Feedback collected will inform the final report and recommendations, to be presented to county council for adoption in September 2024.
