The 15th annual Heroes Highway Ride & Rally (HHR) will take place on Saturday, June 1. This event is Canada’s largest free gathering to support our military and first responders. The ride begins in Trenton and follows the Highway of Heroes (401) to Memorial Park in Port Hope.
The HHR is entirely free and features many Veteran-centric charities that attendees can choose to donate to. Participants are encouraged to bring canned goods for the Northumberland Fare Share Food Bank. This event offers a unique chance to meet active CAF members, first responders, and veterans.
The highlight of the event is the spectacle of thousands of motorcycles riding into Port Hope, accompanied by live music and speeches in the bandshell in Memorial Park. The HHR is family-friendly, with activities for kids and adults alike, making it a perfect day out to show appreciation for those who serve our country.
Itinerary:
10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.: Free public event in Memorial Park with live music, food vendors, and displays.
11:30 a.m.: Motorcycles depart from the National Air Force Museum in Trenton.
12:30 p.m.: Motorcycles arrive in downtown Port Hope.
Please note, there will be road closures and parking restrictions in the downtown area to accommodate the motorcycle procession. Road closures will begin at 8:00 a.m. Portions of Queen Street and Augusta Street, along with the Town Hall parking lot, will be closed to through traffic. Please plan your route accordingly.
The HHR is a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together, enjoy a day of activities, and show support for our military and first responders.
