Belleville police say a multi-agency investigation is continuing after a woman was found dead following a fire at an east-end home earlier this month.
On Wednesday, July 24, 2024, the Belleville Police Service issued an update on the fire, and identified the woman as 45-year-old Adrienne Dracup.
According to police, firefighters and police were called to a detached residence at 285 Herchimer Ave. around 4:45 a.m. on July 20, 2024 in response to a report of a structure fire.
“A female was found deceased inside the residence by emergency workers at the time,” said police.
Police said the woman lived at the home on Herchimer Avenue.
Members of the service’s criminal investigative division and forensic identification unit are continuing an investigation with the assistance of the Ontario Fire Marshal, said police, on Wednesday.
