Old Wooler Road will be closed for construction until sometime into the fall starting Monday, Aug. 12, says the City of Quinte West.
The closure is needed for sanitary sewer replacement and sidewalk and asphalt paving.
The closure will impact Old Wooler Road from Water Street to Telephone Road; however, local traffic will be maintained.
Through-traffic will be detoured via Water Street, the city has noted.
Northbound traffic will be detoured north on Water and west onto Telephone Road at the roundabout, while southbound traffic will go east on Telephone Road and south onto Water Street (also referred to as Trenton Street) at the roundabout during the closure, said the city.
