A serious head-on crash has claimed the lives of two drivers: a 32-year-old local man and a 52-year-old local woman, say Quinte West OPP.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a serious head-on collision on Frankford Road/County Road 5, near Scotts Church Road, on Monday, Sept. 17, 2024, around 9:30 p.m.
The two drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene – there were no passengers in the vehicles, reported OPP.
In their update Thursday, Sept. 19, OPP also asked if anyone has information relating to the crash, to call Quinte West OPP at 1-888-310-1122. Police provided a reference number of E241250422.
OPP’s technical collision investigation team and collision reconstructionist were also called in after the crash Monday night. They continued their on-site investigation through to the next day, resulting in the road remaining closed during this time.
