Premier Doug Ford and Northumberland-Peterborough South MPP David Piccini toured the Blommer Chocolate Campbellford Plant on Monday (September 23, 2024) to witness the factory’s $60 million USD investment, which will transform the facility into one of North America’s largest compound manufacturing plants.
This significant expansion will boost employment at the Campbellford factory, increasing the workforce to 175 by 2026, with 30 new jobs expected.
Premier Ford highlighted the impact this expansion will have on Southern Ontario’s economy, emphasizing its role in supporting regional economic growth. MPP Piccini added that this investment is a tremendous step forward for local job creation and manufacturing.
The Blommer Chocolate expansion represents a major advancement for the local economy, showcasing how the manufacturing sector can contribute to job growth and economic development in the region.
The project is scheduled for completion in 2026, further cementing Campbellford’s role in the chocolate manufacturing industry.
