Film Access Northumberland (FAN) is hosting a thrilling night for film enthusiasts with “REEL Creatures: Films & FilmTalks” on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at The Claymore Pub & Table, 95 King Street West, Cobourg.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m., with doors opening at 5:30 p.m. for an evening packed with chills, laughs, and filmmaker insights.
FAN’s Lesley Myers tells us more about the evening.
Kicking off the night is the short film “STORAGE ROOM B,” a story about two co-workers caught in a zombie apocalypse.
Myers tells us the evening will be an opportunity to connect with the makers.
After the screening, director Scott Dion Brown will join for a live Film Talk, providing an inside look at the making of this suspenseful piece.
Next, attendees can enjoy the feature film “CULT HERO,” which follows control-freak Kallie on a mission to rescue her husband from an Owen Sound “wellness centre.” The screening will be followed by a Film Talk featuring director Jesse Thomas Cook and the film’s star, Liv Collins, offering fans a chance to dive deeper into the filmmaking process.
Myers tells last year’s event prompted them to do a repeat performance.
Tickets are $15 and can be purchased through ZEFFY Online Ticketing or with cash at the door. While watching, guests can enjoy a pay-as-you-go menu crafted by The Claymore Pub & Table’s hosts, Brian and Stephanie, with tasty options like popcorn and pints.
