This year marks the 154th anniversary of the Roseneath Fair, from October 4 – 6 at the fairgrounds on County Road 45.
This year’s fair promises to be even bigger and better than before with a host of things to do and see.
Friday kicks off with the opening of the Albion Amusements Midway at 5 pm and the Truck Pull that start at 6 pm.
Roseneath Agricultural Society’s Barb Foreman tells us more.
A highlight for fair goers is the chance to ride the famous Roseneath Carousel, and Foreman tells us they’ll once again use the proceeds to help maintain this beautifully restored piece of history.
According to Foreman they’ll once again be opening the midway on Friday night and this year you can purchase a wristband for unlimited rides.
But what would a county fair be without exhibitions and competitions? Foreman tells us that Saturday will feature the opening ceremonies, field crop exhibits as well as homecraft work and the popular Horse shows.
Saturday night will feature the Demolition Derby and the evening will finish off with fireworks.
New this year are the K9 Team Dog Show and a free Kids Zone in the cattle barn.
Sunday will be another busy day with the steer show, 4-H shows, the Rosebud Baby show and more.
So whether you love animals, rides, or are just looking for an excuse to grab some cotton candy and a caramel apple, the Roseneath Fair will offer something for everyone.
