A Loyalist Township resident is facing charges after an alleged assault at Warkworth Institution, say Northumberland OPP.
According to police, back on July 26, 2024, OPP received a report about an altercation that had occurred the previous day involving two individuals.
The incident resulted in one individual being transported to a local hospital with non-life-altering injuries, reported OPP.
As a result of the investigation, police said they arrested one of the parties allegedly involved on Thursday, Nov. 14, 2024. The accused is a 29-year-old man from Loyalist Township, who was charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
None of these charges have been proven in court.
