Brighton’s heritage advisory committee has offered up a potential list of names to council for future new streets in the community.
Mayor Brian Ostrander says the next step is hearing from residents.
Ostrander says it’s important to know the names being suggested are for new streets only, not the renaming of existing streets.
As for the names themselves, Ostrander says they’re tied to Brighton’s past.
In some cases, the names may be less well-known but Ostrander says they are still of significant historical and heritage value.
