In an effort to help reduce the spread of respiratory viruses, COVID, cold and flu care clinics are returning to Trenton, Belleville, Picton and Bancroft.
The Hastings Prince Edward Ontario Health Team says the seasonal clinics are open to anyone, including those with and without primary-care providers.
The clinics are meant for people experiencing respiratory symptoms, such as fever, sore throat, sinus congestion, new or worse cough or shortness of breath, with or without vomiting or diarrhea, explain officials.
People have to book appointments in advance and then are seen in-person by either a physician or nurse practitioner. People need to bring health cards and a current list of medications to appointments, note officials.
Here’s the rundown for the clinics:
At the Bancroft Community Family Health Team location, clinics will run Tuesdays 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturdays 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
At the Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre, clinics run Mondays and Fridays from 5 to 8 p.m.
In Picton, at the Prince Edward Family Health Team location, clinics are available Thursdays from 5 to 8 p.m.
And at the Trenton Belleville and Quinte West Community Health Centre, clinics are running Sundays 9 a.m. to noon.
Booking information and clinic updates can be found on the HPE OHT website.
