If you’re planning to give to the Campbellford Memorial Hospital Foundation’s 18th annual Angels of Care Campaign, there’s no better time to do so than December 3rd.
On that day, which is designated Giving Tuesday across Canada, donations made at Scott Drummond Motors in Campbellford will be tripled, thanks to generosity of donors known as The Matchmakers and the dealership itself.
Better still, from now until December 31st, any donation made to the $500,000 campaign will be matched, bringing the hospital closer to purchasing seven new scopes and support equipment for its endoscopy program.
Foundation executive director John Russell says the Giving Tuesday initiative takes on even more importance in light of the ongoing postal strike, which his holding up mail delivery of thousands of appeal letters to past and potential donors.
Russell says Giving Tuesday at Scott Drummond Motors provides him with an opportunity he never tires of.
Giving Tuesday, adds Russell, will feature a number of extras to entice people to come out and make a donation.
Donations can also be made at givetocmh.ca, by e-transfer to foundation@cmh.ca, by phone at 705-653-1140, extension 2107 or in person at the foundation office or the admitting desk at the hospital.
