Northumberland Paramedics have introduced a new online Community Paramedicine Wellness Library aimed at supporting seniors with virtual health resources.
Developed in partnership with Community Care Northumberland, the Town of Cobourg and the Cobourg Community Centre, the library offers a range of resources designed to promote physical and mental well-being. While geared toward seniors, the tools are suitable for individuals of all ages and fitness levels.
The library features seated or stabilized exercise videos to improve flexibility and strength, guided meditation sessions for stress relief and mental clarity, and fall prevention tips to help seniors maintain independence.
The initiative is part of the broader Community Paramedicine program, which provides preventative care and supports residents unable to access in-person services. In a press release from Northumberland County, they say the virtual platform can help reduce isolation and improve overall quality of life.
