Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the Northumberland and Quinte regions.
Officials say strong southwesterly winds, with gusts up to 80 km/h are anticipated through to this evening. This is due to a low-pressure system tracking over Southern Ontario today (Monday, Dec. 30, 2024.)
The strongest winds are expected near Lake Ontario. Winds are expected to weaken early in the evening.
